THE EVENTS OF THE YEAR 2014-15

INAUGURATION OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR: B.ED. 2014-15

The B.Ed academic year 2014-15 was inaugurated on 4^th August 2014, in the esteemed presence of  Mr. Rajendera Gaikwad, the Superintendent of Central Jail, Jagdalpur as chief guest and Mr. Brijesh Bajpai, the DEO of Bastar, as guest of honour and with other invited guests.  Fr.Dr. Paul, Principal had addressed the gathering.  The function was concluded with words of gratitude.

RAKSHA BANDAN CELEBRATION IN CENTRAL JAIL, JAGDALPUR

On  9^th of August, the college administration and the students visited the Central Jail in Jagdalpur, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The visit consisted of prayer, cultural items, and the presentation of Rakhi and gifts to the jailers.

RAKSHA BANDAN CELEBRATION IN THE SCHOOL OF DIFFERENTLY ABLE STUDENTS

On 10^th of August, staff and the students of Christ Collegehad a paid a visit to Mano-Vikas , a centre for the differently able children to celebrate the Rakasha-Bandhan meaningfully. The objective of this visit was to show our solidarity among the brethren, who are cut away from the main stream of life.

RAKSHA BANDAN CELEBRATION IN OLD AGE HOME AASTHA NIKUNJ

On 13^th of August,    again the staff and the students had visited old age home, to celebrate the Raksha Bandhan. The rakhi and gifts were given to them after a short prayer and cultural programme.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

We always celebrate the Independence day with great reverence and meaning.  It is the custom of the college to conduct patriotic singing competition among the different departments in the college.  This year on 13^th of August we had conducted the singing competition and the Education department won the first prize and the degree section the second place.

On 15^th of August, the Independence Day was celebrated in our college and Mr. Santosh Jain, the Ex-President of Bastar Chamber of Commerce hoisted the flag and delivered an inspiring speech. The celebration continued with cultural programme and patriotic singing.  

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF FR. DR. PAUL, PRINCIPAL

It was  a great excitement for the college on 21^st of August, because it was the Birthday of Dr. Fr. Paul, the Principal of Christ College. We conducted a special assembly and offered our prayers. The students felicitated  the Principal with bouquet, gifts and cultural programmes.

PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION MEETING 2014-15

The annual parents meet of the education department was held on 30^th of August. The meeting was attended by many parents from the city.

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION 2014-15

The Teachers’day celebration on 5^th September was a great occasion for the students to exprss their love, affection and grtitude to their teachers. It was very beautifully arranged and this year the college was privileged to have the NAAC peer team(General Education) for this function.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES 2014-15

We have a tradition of celebrating the inter-religious festivals in the assembly. The students prepare a special prayer service, highlighting the significance and teaching of the respective religion. They prepare the notice-board with colourful images and messages.  This year festivals celebrated are :-

• Eid celebration on 28^th August 2014

• Raksaha Bandan on 09^th August 2014

• Onam Celebration on 08^th September 2014
